Standard Flap Valves

Flap Valves are put on the end of a flanged pipe to allow the flow of water out of the pipe, but prevent anything from flowing back in, such as sticks, leaves or other debris. Under direct pressure the valve will open, and it will close when the pressure from outfall fluid is relieved.

1. Cast Iron Design.
As opposed to fabricated parts, our cast parts have less potential for failure over time.

2. Machined Bronze to Bronze Seat.
Our machined seat provides a strong, flat surface for the lid to close against. It can withstand even the harshest conditions.

3. Two Part Epoxy Coating.
Our flap valves have a coating that gives lasting protection against corrosion.

4. Stainless Steel Hinge & Cotter Pins.
Our valve pins are made of stainless steel so they won’t corrode and bind up the valve.

5. Optional Resilient to Bronze Seating.
This allows for a softer reseating surface and can offer an improved seal.

Weighted Flap Valves

Weighted flap valves give added resistance to the lid, allowing for the valve to be angled downward (or even upside down) and still have the lid be closed. Under direct pressure the valve will open to allow water to flow out, but closes to prevent debris from entering.

1. Adjustable Counterweight. The location of the counterweight on the flap valve can be adjusted to allow flexibility in the field.

2. Mechanical Stop. To prevent the lid from over-rotating for pump discharge applications, our weighted flap valves incorporate a mechanical stop.

3. Cast Iron Design. As opposed to fabricated parts, our cast parts have less potential for failure over time.

4. Machined Bronze to Resilient Seat. Our machined seat provides a softer reseating surface because of the extra weight.

5. Two Part Epoxy Coating. Our flap valves have a coating that gives lasting protection against corrosion.

6. Stainless Steel Hinge & Cotter Pins. Our valve pins are made of stainless steel so they won’t corrode and bind up the valve.

Floor Pressure Relief Valves

Located on the bottom of a tank, floor type pressure relief valves open up when excess groundwater is present to prevent floating, which can cause cracking and other serious issues.

1. Machined Seat.
Our strong, flat surface lid with resilient to bronze seating outperforms typical rubber to rubber seals, which are very wide and difficult to seal properly.

2. Removable Grate.
Designed for easy maintenance, the grate can be accessed simply by removing the lid and reaching in. No tools are required.

3. Extendable with PVC.
With the ability to extend to match exact wall thickness, our valve eliminates the need for extra field work.

4. Rubber Gasket Bonded to Lid.
Our gasket won't collapse under water pressure because it is bonded to the lid.

5. Integral Cast Water Stop.
Because our water stop is integrated into the cast valve, we can help prevent water from leaking around the valve.

Wall Pressure Relief Valves

Installed in the side walls of water treatment tanks, wall type pressure relief valves relieve groundwater pressure on the exterior sides of a tank. This ensures concrete tanks don’t begin to float, which can cause cracking and other serious issues.

1. Machined Seat.
Our strong, flat surface lid with resilient to bronze seating outperforms typical rubber to rubber seals, which are very wide and difficult to seal properly.

2. Removable Grate in Wall Pipe.
Designed for easy maintenance, the grate can be accessed simply by opening the lid and reaching in. No tools are required!

3. Wall Pipe Extendable with PVC.
With the ability to extend to match exact wall thickness, our valve eliminates the need for extra field work.

4. Rubber Gasket Bonded to Lid.
Our gasket won't collapse under water pressure because it is bonded to the lid and reinforced by a stainless steel washer.

5. Integral Cast Water Stop.
Because our water stop is cast into the wall pipe, we can help prevent water from leaking around the outside of the wall pipe.

6. Stainless Steel Hardware.
All hardware on the valve is made of stainless steel so it won’t corrode and bind up the valve.
